Dementia Action Week

This Dementia Action Week (16-22 September) we are inviting you, our community, to take the first step to learn more about dementia and to better understand how to care for a loved one living with dementia. We are providing a variety of events and resources to help you do this.

Our Home & Community Services Team will take you through the My Aged Care platform, answering your questions and helping you better understand how to use the website.

WEDNESDAY 18 SEPTEMBER
10am-12pm | Laughter Care at Home Program Launch

Join the first session of our newest Community Program for people living with dementia and their carer, in partnership with The Humour Foundation. In this series of workshops, carers will experience and learn how to build fun, joy and laughter into their care for loved ones. We will help you uncover, or rediscover, your ability to play by sharing the techniques and principles used in The Humour Foundation’s very successful Laughter Care program.
This program runs once a week for 6 weeks on Wednesday mornings at St Luke’s Care. Participants are asked to commit to the entire program.
It is free to participate and bookings are essential.
