What is Café Connect

Join other families living with dementia for a quarterly morning tea.

These groups focus on reducing stigma, encouraging social engagement and empowering families to feel less alone and more informed.

These groups occur on Thursday mornings, at St Luke’s Care. Our next event is Thursday 26th September.

This time, join Art Therapist, Ruth Katz, for a morning of creativity
and socialisation. Ruth will talk about artist Henri Matisse
and then we will participate in making our own art, under
her expert guidance. Working as an Art Therapist in the
Aged Care space for the past 15 years, Ruth is passionate
about giving people another way to communicate, to
find meaning in what they express and to experience
a sense of accomplishment in what they create. Her
tuition incorporates feeding self-esteem and empowering
seniors of varying abilities to appreciate visual art. Her
programs have profoundly enhanced the wellbeing of
participants.

Morning tea will be provided.

Free program and bookings are essential.
