Sleep apnoea

We specialise in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnoea using monitoring and recording equipment as well as continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) services.

You will be supervised and cared for by highly trained sleep technologists under the direction of specialist sleep physicians during your stay with us.

Signs of sleeping disorders

Some signs of a sleeping disorder:

  • Snoring – loud snoring, breathing or gasping noises whist asleep
  • Fatigue – experiencing fatigue during the day resulting in a strong urge to take a nap
  • Caffeine – requiring stimulants such as caffeine to keep you awake during the day
  • Restlessness – wake up several times in the middle of the night
  • Difficulties – Concern about difficulties getting to sleep, staying asleep, or waking too early in the morning
  • Midlife hot flushes – disrupting sleep and causing distress about next-day functioning
  • Medication – overreliance on sleeping medication to achieve sleep onset, but impacting morning functioning
  • Worry – chronic conditioned worry and rumination disrupting sleep at night
  • Life quality – impacted due to a sleep-wake pattern that won’t align with your morning or evening social/occupational functioning

Rosemary Clancy is a sleep specialist Clinical Psychologist, author of sleep workbook “Unlearning Insomnia & Sleep Medication Dependence”, and director of insomnia CBT information website. She completed a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology (Adelaide University) and has held appointments at SWSAHS, The Sydney Clinic and is specialist sleep psychologist at Sydney Sleep Centre and LetSleepHappen.

She treats sleep disorders, including insomnia, Circadian Sleep-Wake Disorders, COMISA (comorbid insomnia+OSA), and prescription sleep medication overreliance (outpatient tapering programs) using CBT, ACT & Mindfulness approaches.
